Soft and delicate in texture, they are quick to cook and easy to love, whether served warm in a light, savoury broth or chilled with a spicy, tangy dressing. There is something deeply comforting about somyeon. In dishes like Janchi Guksu (banquet noodles), they bring warmth and celebration, often served at weddings or birthdays to symbolise long life and happiness.
